Hypnosis
-
Hypnosis is a focused, relaxed state where your attention is guided in a helpful way. It is not sleep, and it is not mind control. It can help you slow things down, access different ways of thinking, and work with habits, feelings, responses, or patterns that may have become automatic.
-
Yes. You are always in control.
You can speak, move, open your eyes, pause, or stop at any time.
Hypnosis does not make you do anything against your will.
It works best when you are willing, comfortable, and actively involved in the process.
-
No.
Hypnosis is not about taking control away from you.
It is about helping you work with your own mind in a focused and supportive way.
You remain aware and able to choose throughout the session.
-
People experience it differently.
Some feel deeply relaxed. Some feel calm and focused.
Some notice their mind wandering while still listening.
Others feel like they are simply sitting with their eyes closed and paying attention.
There is no “right” way to experience hypnosis.
-
Hypnosis is not something that is “done to you”. It is something”done with you”
Some people respond quickly. Others take more time.
The important thing is finding the right approach for you, which may include hypnosis or may use other coaching methods.
-
It may help some people reduce overwhelm, calm their response, and create more choice in how they react.
However, if you are experiencing severe anxiety, panic, trauma symptoms, or feel unsafe, you should also speak with your GP or an appropriate mental health professional.
Coaching
-
My approach is practical, calm, and focused on helping you make sense of what is happening.
We look at the situation, the patterns around it, what may be driving your response, and what choices are available to you.
The aim is not to tell you what to do, but to help you understand things more clearly so you can respond differently.
-
Coaching can help if you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain, or ready for change.
Common areas include confidence, stress, anxiety-related feelings, personal direction, relationship challenges, career uncertainty, habits, communication, and understanding repeating patterns.
What is
-
IEMT stands for Integral Eye Movement Techique.
It is a method that uses guided eye movements and questioning to help people work with difficult emotional patterns, identity-based beliefs, and unwanted responses.
It is not the same as counselling or talking therapy.
-
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
In simple terms, it looks at how thoughts, language, behaviour, and patterns connect.
I use it practically, not as a magic formula, but as one way to help people notice and change unhelpful patterns.

FAQ’s
-
Some of what I do is therapy, it is considered alternative or complimentry.
In general this is more coaching and personal development support.
It may be useful for stress, overwhelm, confidence, habits, decision-making, relationships, and life changes. But it is not a replacement for medical treatment, counselling, psychotherapy, or crisis support.
-
That depends on what you want to work on.
A single session can be useful if you need space to think and find a clear next step.
Three sessions can help build momentum.
Six sessions allow for deeper work around patterns, change, confidence, or relationships.
-
Yes, sessions are confidential.
The main exceptions are if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or where there is a legal or safeguarding duty to act.
-
That is completely normal.
You do not need to arrive with everything worked out. The session is a calm space to pause, talk things through, and begin to understand what is going on.
-
There is a saying in coaching/therapy “if you want a guarentee get a toaster.”
No ethical coach or practitioner can guarantee a specific result.
What I can do is provide a calm, structured, supportive process to help you understand what is happening, explore what needs to change, and take practical steps forward.
-
It may be right for you if you want space to think, are willing to reflect, and are ready to explore what may need to change.
It may not be right if you are looking for crisis support, diagnosis, medical treatment, or someone to tell you exactly what to do.

How I work
-
My work is often content-free.
That means I do need to know the reason you have booked an appointment and what is currently going on for you. But we do not need to go into every detail, relive past events, or do a deep dive into things that may feel too much.
You do not have to re-associate into an event or retell painful experiences in detail for the work to be useful.
The focus is on what is happening now, how it is affecting you, what patterns may be showing up, and what you would like to have happen instead.
This approach helps keep the work safer for both you and me. It allows us to work with the issue without unnecessarily opening things up too quickly or going somewhere that is not useful.
The aim is simple:
to help you make sense of what is happening, reduce overwhelm, understand the pattern, and find a better way forward
-
A session usually starts with a conversation about what is happening and what you would like to have happen instead.
From there, we may use coaching, questions, reflection, hypnosis, IEMT, NLP, or other approaches depending on what is useful for you.
The session is guided by your needs, not a fixed script.
-
No.
Many people book because they do not fully know what they want yet.
They just know something feels off, stuck, heavy, or unclear.
Part of the work is helping you make sense of that.
